Psychology is the science that deals with mental processes and behaviour. This deals with the emotional and behavioural characteristics of an individual, group, or activity. Psychologists are trained to understand human behaviour, emotions, and how the mind works.

Psychologists are specialists who provide evaluation, assessment, testing and treatment of patients to help them overcome emotional or psychological reactions. Psychologists speak with their patients about emotional and personal matters while helping them to make decisions.
Psychologists are required by most countries to acquire/adhere to licensing requirements dictated by where they are practicing psychology at the time. Most mental health professionals have earned a doctoral degree in psychology with either Ph.D or Psy.D. In most countries/states, psychologists are not authorized to prescribe drugs.
